Project Overview
glowgrub is a mobile app designed to offer personalized eating plans for improving skin health. Targeted at individuals seeking to heal their skin from within, the app features recipes and resources curated by professional nutritionists.

Name & Logo
Inspired by the brand’s mission, I named the app 'glowgrub,' reflecting its purpose while conveying elegance. The logotype features a subtle face incorporated into the 'O,' adding a playful yet sophisticated touch.
Typeface
To achieve a harmonious balance and clear visual hierarchy, I paired The Seasons, a classic serif font that remains distinctive for headers, with Indivisible, a clean sans serif for body text.

Color
The color palette features muted shades—Ivory, Mellow Oat, Sage, and Black—to complement the vibrant food images within the app. This intentional choice avoids bright UI colors, ensuring the visuals remain harmonious and focused on the content."

Features
Now that we have determined the user needs, in this MVP, we will focus on glowgrub's core functions: personalized recipe suggestions, nutrition tracking, and targeted resources to prevent user overwhelm.

In addition to regular food logs, glowgrub will monitor users' moods, as this can significantly impact their skin condition.
Rather than tracking standard categories like carbohydrates, protein, and sugar, users will focus on personalized key nutrients based on their skin assessment results. For instance, users with psoriasis should prioritize antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, and whole grains. Trackers for these food groups will be available on their dashboard.
